| Coldborough Forest
This forest is dark and dangerous. No one really knows what lives inside. Some claim that this is where the Shifters make their lair, others say that the Elven folk live inside and lure travelers to their doom. No one knows. But one things is for certain, once you go in, you don't come out.

| Dracmoor Mountains (1 sub-board)
Stone pinnacles topped with ice and snow stretching as far as the eye can see. In the Olden Days the dragons made their lairs in the caves in the mountain sides, and some still live here. Be careful if you want to climb to the top; though the view is beautiful, the Mountains don't suffer trespassers readily...

| Linesse Valley (1 sub-board)
A pleasant, green place filled with flowers. There's a grove of fruit trees on one end, and birds of all kinds come to nest in the branches. This is a perfect place to picnic in.

| Freyhold Marsh
A dark, damp, and eerie place. Be careful where you tread: the Marsh likes to play tricks on travelers on their way to the City. Don't be lead astray by the noises that you hear, stay on the real path. One misstep and you're sinking down, down into the mud, never to be seen again.

| Westerhaven Village
This is a peaceful little farming village... well, it used to be. Bandits and wild animals seem to almost always be raiding, so you must always be on your guard. Then there are those soldiers who claim to be working for the King, levying harsh taxes and beating those who refuse to pay. Some of your neighbors have been dragged off to serve in the King's dungeon, but no one knows why. Be careful who you trust, for appearances are deceiving.

| The Lower City |
| Patten District
This area of town is for the middle-class residents and those who have a craft or trade. No one sets up shop here, but this is where those who have a profession live. It is a nice area of the City, not as nice as the Upper City, but it is well-maintained and clean, with well-mannered citizens (mostly).

| Runedown Road
The poorest of the poor live here, in dilapidated houses that squat in streets filled with waste and garbage. You must steal if you want to survive. It's a dangerous place to be about at night; it is when rushers and cutthroats and thieves of the worst kind come out and do their business.

| Muert Alley
A dark alley lined with "abandoned" buildings and small shops. You can find anything there, from stolen gems to a trained assassin. Watch your back; there are things in the shadows that can't be bought for love or money.

| The QidanDemon Training School (5 sub-boards)
This school is hidden deep within the dark alleyways of the Lower City. Those who are lucky (or unlucky) enough to find it are taught by the best. The trainers teach anyone they feel has potential--- be it a King's Guard or commoners. Stealing, stealth, killing, kidnapping, and fighting are taught here. You can specialize in what you want (King's Guards tend to specialize in purely fighting while the commoners lean towards the stealth and stealing side) but whether you use the skills taught for good or for evil are up to you.

| Dungeons (2 sub-boards)
This is a place where no one wants to be in. Whether you're a murderer, crook, or you just offended the wrong person, you're placed in the cells underground. The jailers are fond of torture, whether you have information they need or not. Try not to catch their eye.

| Wharf (2 sub-boards)
On the edges of the City, this is where the ships come and go. A rough place, as is all parts of the Lower City. Beware some sailor doesn't drag you aboard to be part of the crew.

This is where the King, his advisors, the nobles, and their servants reside.

| King's Guard Barracks (1 sub-board)
This is a large building behind the Palace, housing all the soldiers, their families, their equipment, and their training yard. It makes for a long walk to go from the Barracks to the Dungeons, if they're on duty there.

| The Square
This is a large square in the very middle of the City. A stone fountain plays in the center.

| Market (4 sub-boards)
Shops line all sides of the Square; merchants, traveling peddlers, gypsies, and store owners from all over the City come to sell their wares. Everything from cloth to food is sold here.

Once decent, self-respecting folk are in bed, the worst of the City's crop comes out to sell, trade, and barter. It could be anything from slaves to knives that you find being passed around. Fights break out frequently, and you must always be ready to run from the King's Guard who would love nothing better than to haul you off to the Dungeons for a day or two.

| Crown and Jewel Tavern
This place serves the best hot meals and ale anywhere in the Kyldar. It's a favorite place of the City's lowlife's, and for the King's Guard. Usually, they try to ignore each other at this place, but you never know what's going to happen.
